SERVICES
If you are unsure if your child needs an evaluation and/or therapy services, Johnson County Speech Language Therapy offers developmental screenings. The screenings are a brief, informal assessment of skills to determine if your child is meeting age-based expectations and/or if additional evaluation of skills is needed.
These screenings include observation of your child, a short parent interview, and a quick assessment of skills. During this time we will determine appropriate next steps for your child.
SCREENING
Using a combination of parent interview, standardized testing, and informal assessment tools, we can determine your child’s strengths and areas of need. Completion of the formal assessment protocol is between 30 minutes to 1-2 hours, based on testing that is required. Approximately one week after testing, families will be provided with a comprehensive report, which includes a summary and analysis of findings.
If your child demonstrates a need for specialized instruction, we will work together to develop a plan for intervention. This plan will include measurable goals that will guide our therapy moving forward.
Pricing for evaluations vary; please contact for more information.
