PROVIDING IN-HOME
Pediatric Speech & Language Therapy
Personalized Therapy
Johnson County Speech Language Therapy offers personalized in-home speech and language therapy for children ages 18 months to 12 years in Johnson County Kansas and its surrounding communities. We are passionate about providing families with therapeutic services that support their child’s strengths and individual personality. It is our pleasure to come into your home to assist your child and to watch them grow in their speech and language skills!
We provide therapy to address a variety of communication concerns, including speech sound production/articulation, receptive and expressive language, functional communication, and social communication/pragmatic skills. Whether you are just starting your journey to determine services or are looking for supplementary services to support your child’s current IFSP/IEP services, we are here for you.
In-Home Therapy
In-home therapy is designed around the idea that when the parents can develop a relationship with the therapist, effective collaboration can occur. When working together, the parents and the therapist are able to fully support the child’s speech/language development.
Therapists have the unique opportunity of working in the child’s most natural environment, which makes overall therapy more meaningful for the child—the child is learning and practicing where they talk the most!
At home, parents are present and can be hands-on during therapy sessions. Parents can model therapy techniques used, learning specifically what works best for their child.
